About usThe Clinical Hypnosis Society of New Jersey (CHSNJ), founded in 1986, is a non-profit, professional organization of licensed healthcare providers who utilize hypnosis in the care of their patients. CHSNJ is a Component Section of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and complies with the Ethical Principles and Standards of ASCH. Membership is open to physicians, psychologists, dentists, social workers, licensed professional counselors and nurses. Membership is also currently open to chiropractors and nurse practitioners/physicians’ assistants who are licensed to practice independently. Our current Executive Board members are: Robert D. The mission of CHSNJ is multifaceted. We provide the highest Standards of training and quality workshops in clinical hypnosis. This includes Basic/Beginner; Intermediate, and Advanced Workshops. CHSNJ also offers bi-monthly meetings which provide its multidisciplinary membership opportunities for further development and refinement of their clinical hypnosis skills as well as cross-fertilization of ideas.
In addition to offering complete ASCH approved basic and intermediate trainings yearly we offer annual programs to all professionals. Professionals and students curious about the applications of hypnosis are welcome to attend our spring programs where discipline CEs for psychologists and NJ social workers are awarded.
